SunLab's Self-Tanner Review

Hi ! This is Viv & I'll be reviewing our first product !

For the past month, we've been using SunLab's Self-Tanner & finally, a product that works ! Tami & I have talked about how we've tried numerous tanners & they either don't make us tan, it leaves us looking orange or the smell is bothersome. We both DON'T go to tanning salons nor do we have the time or luxury of laying poolside to be sunkissed. Does all of this sound familiar ? If you can relate, then try this product out !


Pros :
- Color enhances within 3 hours without harmful UV exposure.
- All 3 products smell great.
- Dries quickly ! Apply & go !
- Non-greasy after feeling
- Suitable for ALL skin types.
- Cruelty Free ! No animal testing & Paraben free !
- Nourishes, revitalizes, & hydrates skin.

Cons :
- Processing smell starts to smell like regular tanning lotions.
- Stains hands for a while, just use/scrub the exfoliator on & wash off.
- Streaking may occur.
- Annoying when you use bare hands to apply it but you need to wash your palms from staining so the tanner you applied on the top of your hands washes off too, so it's a big of a challenge.

It may sound like a chore of having 3 steps of this tanning process but it's really fast & simple !



FIRST : While in the shower, use the Exfoliant Body Gel Purifying Skin Softener (as shown above) to get rid of any dirt & grime or "impurities" on your body. It's gentle enough to use on your face too. The minty smell makes it seem even more refreshing. I also use this after I apply on the self-tanner, just so the exfoliating beads can help wash off the tanner & keep from staining my hands.



SECOND : Dry yourself off COMPLETELY, even wait a couple of minutes after if needed, then apply the Self Tanning Lotion Ultra Dark Instant Tint. The chocolately-color may seem intimidating but once you rub it on, you'll realize it's not as dark & blends in naturally. Apply lotion on smoothly but quickly to avoid streaking, making sure you get every nook & cranny (such as, in between the toes & fingers, behind the ears, etc) if you don't - you'll start to see the separation of colors from your original skin color to where the lotion has been applied. Since the product dries quickly, you can put it on & not worry about it rubbing off on your clothes. You will be able to tell instantly within 1-3 hours that the tanner has enhanced, leaving a tanned tint to your skin !


THIRD : In the mornings, after your shower or before you put on your clothes, use the Tan Moisturizer Maintainer Tan Extender Lotion. Use it as a daily moisturizer to help "maintain" your tan. You should alternate from using the self-tanner at night & using the maintainer in the mornings. Eventually, the lotion will even out your color over time, leaving a nice sun(less)kissed tan !

Repeat steps 1-3 for about 2-3 times a week to keep your tan, perhaps even year-round !

After using these products, We loved the outcome & will definitely continue to use it. We recommend it to anybody who can relate to us when it comes to tanning. Not only does it work but it's safe, easy, & fast to use.
